All India Institute of Medical Sciences Guwahati is a prestigious government medical institute located in the state of Assam, India, in the vicinity of Changsari, near Guwahati. It is one of the AIIMS institutions established by the Indian government under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) scheme with the aim of enhancing the health care and medical education infrastructure in the country. The foundation stone of the institute was laid by the Honorable Prime Minister of India on 26th May 2017. The hospital and the academic institute of AIIMS Guwahati were inaugurated on 14th April 2023.

The institute is an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, offering undergraduate medical education in the field of medicine (MBBS) and medical facilities to the people of Assam and the North Eastern States of the country. The institute is spread over an area of 189 acres of land with state-of-the-art facilities in the fields of medical education and health care.

The institute offers various medical facilities such as cardiology, neurology, oncology, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, trauma care, etc. The institute offers various facilities such as OPD, IPD, diagnostic lab facilities, telemedicine facilities, etc.
